  1. This paper presents a power system state vector reconstruction approach based on weighted least squares. The main objective of reconstruction is to approximates the unobservable states of power system. The reconstructed state vector is used to show it performs acceptable with Wide area voltage stability monitoring algorithm developed by same authors.   2. This approach is based on voltage stability assessment by computation of Thevenin based impedance. The method relies on information of PMU measurements at load buses and system topology and load powers from SCADA/EMS. Authors demonstrate that for implementation of their proposed algorithm only PMU installations at concerned buses is needed.
